Stomach bug persists according to Health Department|myFOXlubbock.com | FOX 34 News Lubbock, Texas
The past month has seen an increase in Lubbock of patients reporting enteric diseases, a combination of diarrhea, fever, vomiting, and stomach cramps.
Health care workers advise you contact a doctor if you have those symptoms. Antibiotics can shorten the duration of the illness and the time of potential exposure for others.
The Health Department also has some advice to help avoid getting sick: Wash your hands properly and often, sanitize restroom and food preparation areas, wash all fresh produce, and cook meat thoroughly.
